Approximately almost three months three months after I faced the defense, and here I am now : Japan. Staying temporarily as a student of a Japanese University, living in my own mini apartment, 5051 KM away from home.
Realizing that this is a dream I have been pursuing since my childhood time, I have now been wondering if it is really as nice as what I had thought.
Masters degree, living abroad, and being independent. I am living my dream now. Wow. The delayed dream, one that an 18 years old me was very sure to deserve this kind of life.
Definitely it always feels great to explore a new place with all the unique features it can offer. It is also good to experince one of the best education system in the world.
Yet, everything is different. Like, totally different. From the weather to food. From the city plan, to the housing. Most people do not understand the languages I speak. Culture,of course differ. Additionally, being a muslim myself, I cannot even eat freely. Man, this is never easy. To adjust is tough. I really miss everything about home, both KL and Semarang.
I wonder if I had gone to this place 7 years ago, when I was a very demanding spoilt teenager. What would I do without my parents by my side? Maybe I would have cried a river and begging them to get me back home at all cost. Or maybe I would have been tempted to eat the things I am never supposed to eat. Or any other scenarios which did not suite me.
You know when you think so long and deep, most probably you will be able to see the good side of your story. Just like what I am doing now. Now I can extinct my somber feelings for failing my deam of living outside ASEAN when I was 18. Because I was not ready. This is just the right time for that. Alhamdulillah, thank God.
And now something else just popped out on my mind. The wisdom in my storylife always gets back to a deeper grateful feeling to Allah. Allah is always the conclusion. WOW. Alhamdulillah.
